7 Celebs who are "Low-Key" Witches

In this article, we address female celebrities who openly talk about either being a witch or who practice witchcraft, as well as those who we sisters suspect are in the #broomcloset

1. AURORA - the Fairy Airy Pagan Witch

She has the voice of a siren, it haunts and blesses you all at once, it's chilling but in the most angelic way. This angelic earthy magick shows in the way she speaks, dresses, and presents herself.

Update: She has recently come out saying that she is indeed a witch. She has been heard by many, calling herself a Witch more than a handful of times, as well as highlighting time and time again about being quite anti-Christian (not unusual for us witches to be, due to our history of the many witch hunts, massacres, and mass genocides led by the Christians and Catholics against Pagans and Witches, which still occur today).

With the witch energy she holds, we sisters were and are able to feel that she is one of us -part of our circle. This is because the majority of us witches, especially us pagans and those who follow the traditional ways, have gone through our sacred grounding ceremonies, anointments, and/or oaths; all of which are rituals that connect us to all who have walked the path, those who presently do, and those of us who will.

And I'll tell you, my "spidey senses" were surely tingling and it seems we were right! It's always so nice to see one of our sisters come out of the #broomcloset especially one so talented as she.

If you follow her on Instagram, you would have seen a post from around 6 months ago which has been clearly archived or removed now (as she often does not show posts older than 1- 2 months), but it showed a video of Aurora in front of an Alter, explaining the importance of #Samhain (a pagan sabbat). So perhaps even if she isn't yet openly a pagan, she surely is a proud witch, and her beliefs surely shine through her music, without a doubt!

Other things she's said and done that will make you think of nothing else:

  • she has a playlist called 'music for the fellow witches', as well as that being the title of a previous live stream of hers.

  • there's a YouTube video where she makes tea and the whole vibe is very witchy as well

  • she said in an interview "... when I feel extra witchy".

  • there was a post (on IG) she made 9 months ago about doing a spell to help her sunburn.

  • she has said she is a witch multiple times and openly identifies as a witch

  • she has a particular fondness for the goddess Artemis and keeps an actual rabbit's foot and some other witch items in her witch box with her at all times, everywhere she travels.

  • her sister and mom practice the craft with her, as she claims it runs in her blood, she talks about this a lot in her interviews

  • in "The devil is human" she sings "you can burn the skin I live in / But you cannot burn the witch away"

  • it shows in the symbolism in her music videos

  • in the concert with the Bergen orchestra in SEP 2020, she had her sister's tooth on her necklace

  • not to mention she is from Bergen, and her family were/are real Vikings...

  • Aurora also co-sung Helvegen by Wardruna, an openly Nordic pagan Viking band

  • she has been seen posting things with Tarot cards and readings as well

  • she is a cat person and believes deeply in the fae and Magik

  • she is often seen using emojis such as; 🩸♥🫀 🫁 🧚🏻🌞✨♥️🌙🍄💫

  • she has posted about her altar several times and about deities she worships and/or has a great fondness for; Artemis and Poseidon being the main two (although personally, I no longer work with Poseidon because of #medusasstory

2. Stevie Nicks - The Rumoured Hollywood White Witch

Stevie has often been called a witch since she rose to fame! However in her time of rising, it wasn't used to liberate or empower her, she was called "witch" by men to discredit her, downplay her, belittle her, and mock her. All of which makes sense to how Stevie reacts to being called one now or the fact that she is still not willing to admit it "if" she really is one... She could just be into all the magickal things, in the way people who LOVE harry potter aren't wizards and witches but love to bring it to life and live it up in their own reality.

However many real-life witches including myself, not just muggles, believe that she has to be a witch too! Perhaps she is in the #broomcloset

Because she might tell us she is not one, but her actions show us otherwise, it's like when a child says "I didn't eat the cookie" with crumbs all over their face - not to compare Nicks to a child - She is beyond legendary!

Perhaps a better example is to talk about my grandparents who were brought up in a generation where being a witch or practicing openly could get you, your family, and associates in BIG trouble, punishments that most of the time lead you to DEATH.

Nicks was receiving mail that referenced witchcraft and was troubling enough for her to become afraid of, among other things, being kidnapped. Which is no doubt why she probably would have dived deep into the #broomcloset

Witch and witchcraft trials and punishments still exist today, in places like China, South America, Bali, America, India, Papua New Guinea, Amazonia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

So it is quite understandable that she still fears being seen as one, whether she is or isn't.

Not all of us witches are so lucky to be embraced and loved for who we are, I sometimes still get looks, ignorant comments, and nasty dangerous threats...

But as most of us witches know, if you were born into it, no matter how hard you try to pretend that part of you doesn't exist, it always makes its way into your heart. For it is our lifeblood, like stars in the dark, magick can never hide from shining its true colours.

Special Note;

If the renowned Stevie ever did read this -- the Sisterhood of the Night and of the Sun, would love her to know that we are not 'accusing' her of practicing witchcraft or of being a witch.

That we have claimed her a spot on our earthly throne as one of the modern queens of the Witches Council. We call her a witch not to belittle her or to dampen her bright light.

We call her a witch because it would be our honour if our circle was given the chance to feel her presence. We call her a witch to empower her, and to pay tribute to her, as she is nobility in our eyes, we call her a witch - a sister because to be a witch is one of the most magickal, beautiful, and powerful things a woman could ever be in this mundane world.

Nicks is the embodiment of what all witches strive to be, unapologetically ourselves.

And Nicks you will always be protected by us, truly, you are a global treasure.

Why we believe that Nicks must be a Sister:

  • the background of the song Rhiannon, Nicks would say, “This song is about an old Welsh witch.” Supposedly Nicks had read a novel called Triad, which references a medieval Welsh character named Rhiannon. Apparently, this inspired Nicks to write one of Fleetwood Mac's most memorable tracks.

  • Her original name is rather magical, Stephanie, derived from the Greek word stephanos, meaning “crown” or “garland.” Almost all hereditary witches were given magical/Mystikal names at birth whether purposefully or "coincidentally".

  • Her passion for Halloween has been with her since childhood

  • Nicks contributed two songs -- “If You Ever Did Believe” and “Crystal” -- to the soundtrack for Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman’s witchcraft rom-com Practical Magic.

  • In AHS she played herself, Nicks also played a version of herself who is involved with witchcraft and goes by “The White Witch.”

  • In 2018 she went on American Horror Story’s eighth season as The White Witch

  • In the show, the witch coven reveals that even famous names like Stevie Nicks are witches and have to hide who they are to stay safe. The singer also appeared in the last season of the show ‘Apocalypse’ and sang for the coven.

  • "I feel there are good spirits everywhere when I am writing my songs, helping me." - Creem Magazine, 1982

  • "See, I think you live on earth a certain number of times until you finish what it is that you were meant to do here. And then you go on. I don't think I'll be back. I think I'm done." Playboy Magazine, 1982 *this is actually quite spooky, I've said and felt this same thing for years

  • "... A long, long time ago I decided I was going to have a kind of mystical presence, so I made my clothes, my boots, my hair, and my whole being go with that. But it wasn't something I just made up at that point. It's the way I've always been. I've always believed in good witches-not bad witches-and fairies and angels." Interview Magazine, 1998 *I believe witches can be good, bad, and anything in between, "it is the person who wields the sword that makes it so"

  • "I love Halloween ...[and] I love haunting, haunted melodies. I've never been, and probably never will be, a down-home rock 'n' roll songwriter. I try to add that extra, spooky dimension to whatever I do. I want my songs to sort of step a little bit into the bizarre." US Magazine, 1980

  • "There is always magic to be summoned at any point. I love to live in a world of magic, but not a fake world of magic." Jim Ladd Interview, 1979

  • "I totally believe in magic. Because my life, I think, has been very magic, and magical things have come true for me time after time after time." VH1 Hollywood & Vinyl on Practical Magic, 1998 *she sounds like she might big a big conjurer

  • Her mothers' name is Barbara - Barbara is a feminine name of Greek origin as well which means “foreign” or “strange"

  • From the lyrics of her songs to their titles; Rhiannon She is like a cat in the dark / and then she is the darkness, Sorcerer All around, black ink darkness / and who found, lady from the mountains, Bella Donna The lady’s feeling / like the moon that she loved, Dreams Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions, Sister of the Moon A black widow spider makes more sound than she / and black moons in those eyes of hers made more sense to me, Angel to those that I love, like a ghost through a fog / like a charmed hour and a haunted song, etc

  • She collaborated with another iconic witch; Lana Del Rey

3. Megan Fox - The Real Life Cosmic Love Witch

She speaks in tongues, is obsessed with Crystals, and has talked openly about cleansing demons using Crystals. Megan is a BIG believer in Crystal healing and often promotes its metaphysical and magickal properties. "They change your vibration, they change your frequency. They're good for healing your body, calming your nerves, and just about anything you can come up with. Any ailment you have, there's a crystal for you."

She talks about her interest in the metaphysical in various interviews, and how she has really delved into Shamanic work ever since she went to Costa Rica for her wild ayahuasca experience. She's also big into Astrological Birth Charts, is a Zodiac Sign User, and is into Chakras as well. She may just be another new-age spiritualist - but with her witchy wardrobe and gothic romance, we cannot ignore the Sister Energy she is giving off...

Megan Fox even starred in an Episode of Eli Roth's History of Horror, called "Witches", and told Glamour Magazine "we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only", reassuring the public that they (she and MGK) only consume a few drops every now and then, at the same time admitting to performing Occult rituals. Megan Fox has also shared with Jimmy Kimmel that she hears messages from her unborn child as well.

Fox has also told her Instagram fans in a post that she believes she had manifested her soulmate "He’s literally the exact physical type that I’ve been manifesting since I was four. I’m also four years older than him. So, I think I made him. My thoughts and intentions grew him into the person that he is, who knows what he would’ve looked like or been like if it wasn’t for me.” She also believes in past lives and told Rolling Stone whilst talking about her engagement in complete knowing: "in every lifetime before this one, and in every lifetime that will follow it, I said Yes."

I can acknowledge that if she is a Witch she couldn't nor wouldn't be a White Witch, but that does not negate the pull she has of being seen or felt as a Witch in general, no matter where she stands on the spectrum of Arts/Magiks and which type of witchcraft she may study or practice.

ALL HAIL THE FOX! She's done it sisters!

Megan has recently revived her insta and these are her most recent posts, one of them is of her without a doubt claiming her witch identity!

"I have been burned at the stake by

insecure

narcissistic

impotent

little men like you many times

and yet I’m still here

you f*cked with the wrong witch"

ICONIC - Absolute Queen! Is she not the reincarnation of #Hekate ? (the Ancient Greek Goddess of Witches, darkness, and witchcraft)

May 20th 2023

On a side note, her name literally translates to Great and Mighty Pearl, Follower of Dionysus, one who shares similarities with the wild animal bushy-tailed fox...

The spiritual meaning of a fox is; mischievous, clever, and self-assured. It is fearless and can handle any situation, in any environment. The Fox is Sensitive, dynamic, and intelligent, and has great wisdom and passion to share.

......I think this fox lives up to her name 100%

4. Lana Del Rey - Siren of the Sun

I'm sure this one doesn't come as a surprise.

Many of us have suspected for years, we sisters, and muggles have felt the vibrations ... she sung her siren song and we tuned in!

I do want to clarify that someone does not have to practice witchcraft or even acknowledge that part of themselves, to be a witch (speaking hereditarily). It is also possible to be a Christian or Catholic witch aka a wiccan - wicca actually stems from the church, read more about that here: #whatiswicca

Some witches are simply chosen by the Goddess and blessed with gifts.

Whether Lana is or isn't a witch, she will always be welcomed as one of us.

  • instructed her fans to join a mass occult ritual against President Donald Trump

  • “I really do believe that words are one of the last forms of magic and I’m a bit of a mystic at heart.”

  • she and the other Queen, Stevie, collaborated on a beautiful song *wink wink*

  • covered the song 'Season of the Witch' for the motion picture 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark'

  • participates in casual witchcraft

  • joined the Wiccan community in binding Donald Trump from doing no harm while in the White House

  • has her own coven

  • Lana's Name Meaning: shining; light; blessed; precious; child. Lana is a feminine name of primarily Slavic origin known for its' everlasting adoration

  • Do you cast other spells at home? “I’m in line with Yoko and John and the belief that there’s a power to the vibration of a thought. Your thoughts are very powerful things and they become words, and words become actions, and actions lead to physical changes.”

  • "but at the core, my intentions have always been so good. With the music or when I get into a relationship, it’s always just because I really want to. That’s what’s at the root of this really cute, witchy B-movie.” (Lana talking about her Lust for Life album Trailer)

  • a collection of her own spells and hexes are included in an upcoming book of spells (she didn't share which one, otherwise of course I would be buying and posting it everywhere) but I did find some "leaked" spells of hers...

  • her middle name is of Anglo-Saxon origin Wulfríc = Wolf- Powerful [Old English wulf + ríc(e] - The 13th-century forms of this name were: Wlfric, Wlfrich, Wolvrich, Wulvrich, etc.

  • Scottish and English ancestry

  • Her mother's maiden name means "a person who lived on a hill", which has been used to reference being a "witch" since the ye' ol' days

  • referred to as the "good witch" in lots of her media coverage and lots of her celeb friends and 'frenemies' refer to her as "witch sister" too

  • she's friends with a lot of broom-mates

Spells and Rituals by Lana

To Call Forth a Hot Dad in a Vintage Marlboro T-Shirt

This is actually a very rudimentary ritual. Simply form a pentagram in your living room and put an empty 25 fl. oz. can of Budweiser at the end of each point. Once you've done that, sit down in the middle of the pentagram and chant literally any lyric from my current album, Lust for Life, until someone's cool Uncle Steve appears in front of you and whisks you off your feet.

How to time travel to 1969

Conjuring a tattoo in handwritten cursive on the side of your hand

To hex an ex

How to possess an assistant manager at Urban Outfitters

Summoning Stevie Nicks

Whether these spells actually work or not who knows... But they most definitely have the songstress's touch! Lana is definitely no novice when it comes to witchcraft.

Crafting spells that actually work is for more experienced witches, traditionally, you aren't really allowed to craft your own spells until you reach a certain 'tier' of your witching path and have gained a certain level of knowledge in your occult studies...

Personally, I love Lana's music, and even before that I always believed she was one of us. There has never been any doubt in my mind - to me it just felt like this was common knowledge, almost as if it would be strange if she wasn't...

*I, Lady Crescent am not liable for anything you may or may try at home. Please act responsibly, I also do not condone dark/black magic, including hexes/curses/etc as a White Witch*

5. Grimes - Goth-alien-witch-princess

  • In an interview for Dazed Beauty’s Magic Week/ Witch Week, she said "Embarrassingly and unscientifically I have had many experiences with the supernatural but I’ve also been prescribed anti-psychotics and don’t take them so we’ll never really know. I have performed many spells. most recently I performed a spell to save the life of someone important to me and it dramatically worked. Meh on horoscopes, but I dig the Chinese zodiac."

  • Her name Grimes, we believe is a nod to Edith Woodford-Grimes, an English Wiccan who achieved recognition as one of the faith's earliest known adherents. She had been a member of the New Forest coven, and through this became a friend and working partner of Gerald Gardner, who would go on to found the Gardnerian tradition

  • Her song lyrics refer to herself as a witch often; Flesh without Blood They say that a great sorceress lives in these woods. An elf witch of terrible power. All who look upon her fall under her spell... and are never seen again / Rosa I can never tell her --That she is a witch

  • Her Songs have been featured in witchy-magickal-fairy type shows and movies like; Half Bad: The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, Fate: The Winx Saga, The Power, The Secret Circle (remember that one??), The Vampire Diaries, Supergirl

  • went through “a Wiccan phase” in seventh grade. According to an interview with The Fader in 2015, she only stepped away from witchcraft after casting a spell during which “the rosary crumbled in my hands, and it was really scary”.

Grimes has never come out and said she is a witch but she also has never denied the questions or turned down the witchy names the media and fans have given her, in fact, she has embraced them quite fully.

She may be in the #broomcloset but she also could be a proud witch that doesn't feel the need to shout it from the top of her lungs and make a deal of it -- and if that is the case,

Then good for her, makes me feel like a proud mama to see how she owns herself and doesn't feel the need to prove herself to anyone. Claire - Grimes - you have my attention - hold your power, no proof necessary.

Low-key at its finest.

6. Lorde - A Force To Be Reckoned With

  • in numerous interviews, Lorde has referred to herself as a witch

  • comes from the magickal middle earth - the land of Narnia, The Hobbit, and LOTR

  • the fashion icon for the witch aesthetic

  • according to Exepose in their "Witchy Woman" article - "Lorde evokes the spirit of an elemental witch, whose lyrics often feature the four elements – earth, air, water, and fire. It is the latter that is her calling card, fire" which I will have to say as a witch, I agree with, such as her newest album "solar power" and "‘Buzzcut Season’, ‘Yellow Flicker Beat', ‘Perfect Places’, and ‘Liability’ all see Lorde conjuring flames, describing herself as a “forest fire”

  • listed in the same articles as ICONIC Hollywood witches like; Florence Welch, Stevie Nicks, Lana Del Rey, Kate Bush, FKA Twigs, Taylor Swift, etc

  • she was one of the major players that sparked Pop Culture's Witch Aesthetic Obsession (an accidental pun with her already suspected elemental house), whether this was her intention or not

  • Vanity Fair dubbed her “the Queen of Darkness"

  • “Sometimes I'll go for a goth-witch vibe,” she admitted to Teen Vogue

  • she briefly rebranded Taylor Swift’s girl squad as a “witch’s coven” in an interview

  • Vox wrote an amazing article dedicated to her witchy nature, read it here

  • Cosmo referred to her as a "goth teen witch princess"

  • she told Vogue, to keep the creative juices flowing, she follows some interesting 'practices'. "I’ve got flowers and arrange them in a little way before I go on stage, or a few times I covered my hands in glitter using my hands like little energy conductors. So I’ve been doing weird, witchy things,”

  • starred as the Cover of October for Vogue, twice now

  • she isn't "weirded out" by supernatural beings such as ghosts and spirits because of her love for all things magical, and even claims to have a "connection" with the late David Bowie

  • told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I have always felt connected to [David Bowie], even though I spent only about five minutes in [his] company. I felt he was watching over me in a way. It would be no surprise to anyone I am not weirded out by ghosts or spirits. I am basically a witch." so she didn't technically say she's a witch, but it seems she thinks she's one, and honestly, if she got into witchery, I don't believe we'd tell her to turn around. However, we would ask her to claim her witch title with more confidence and power. Because being a witch is no little thing, it calls upon the mother, the moon, and all sisters. So if you're gonna call yourself one, give our ancestors the respect they deserve. Also, not all witches can see the dead, and being "afraid of no ghost" doesn't make you a witch either - honestly a lot of us witches are still weirded out by many of our day-to-day experiences no matter how many times we deal with them...and some of us couldn't care less. A reminder, Spirits can be everywhere and nowhere at once

  • sounds like every song she sings casts a spell; Precious Metals make a fire in the garden, Sundance kids, so godless -- Black sand on all our beaches -- Witchcraft, split lip, and a bee sting / Writer In The Dark But in our darkest hours, I stumbled on a secret power --I'll find a way to be without you, babe / Glory and Gore There's a humming in the restless summer air / Mood Ring Ladies, begin your sun salutations Transcendental in your meditations (love and light) You can burn sage, and I'll cleanse the crystals / Hard Feelings (Loveless) 'Cause I'm gonna mess your life up Gonna wanna tape my mouth shut, Look out- / The Love Club In the old days, there was enough The card games and ease, with the bitter salt of blood -- And the girls get their claws out There's something about hangin' out with the wicked kids / Yellow Flicker Beat My blood is a flood of rubies, precious stones It keeps my veins hot, the fires find a home in me -- And my necklace is of opal, I tie it and untie it

  • also just sounds like Lorde may have a bit of a 'god complex'... "I'm kinda like a prettier Jesus" / "I'm basically a witch" / "People are relying on you to bring light to them in a dark time and to be a conduit for light and energy"

  • self-proclaims to have made many predictions that have accurately "come true", such as her "covid-19 one" as seen below...

Yes, this was a note made before Covid- 19 was initially discovered (December 13, 2019), and yes it holds an oddly similar topic, but antibodies existed before the coronavirus, and this honestly doesn't have more detail and so could simply be talking about antibodies. However, who am I to say, that she did not feel this in her bones? Lots of intuitives, witches, and people felt the upcoming events, vividly! I myself had "dreams", more so, vivid nightmares, in 2017 about what I believe to be a warning of what was to come.. but who knows...I do receive precognitive dreams. Although, usually they are quite accurate, so much so, that there is no question of what they are showing me. Personally, my "dream" had lots of similarities, like A LOT, definitetly more detailed than this one by Lorde, but still not enough to be like "Oh yes this is that".

7. The Olsen Twins - Double Double, Toil and Trouble

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are no doubt the real-world Twitches we all dreamed of...

  • I've always felt an "I know who you are" sixth sense about these two, even when growing up, whilst they were - even just watching their muggle movies 'The Challenge' and 'New York Minute'. There's simply something magickal and superstitious about them

  • Olsen is a Danish-Norwegian patronymic surname meaning "son of Ole". The Swedish parallel form is Olsson. This name is composed of the elements ans, which means god, and leifr, which means relic... Its origins trace back to Scandinavian roots. So, it would not be a surprise if they are real witches, even if they don't practice or claim to be.

  • their sister, Elizabeth, is ironically Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Franchise

  • Elizabeth claims to not practice witchcraft but says she knows many people in her life that do and are witches. However, does not say she isn't a witch. Reminder, You don't have to practice witchcraft to be a witch, nor may you be a witch (hereditarily) to practice witchcraft

  • played two little witches in the movie 'Double, Double Toil and Trouble'

  • they have the Wicca witch aesthetic down pat

  • into their crystals and semi-precious stones

  • are seen showing 'strange' synchronized behaviour, perhaps they have that twin sense going on, which I think is pretty magickal. Back in 2010 on Ellen, they said"I think we just…you get that feeling, I don't know how to explain it," Mary-Kate started. "We definitely feel it and also we're mirror twins," Ashley said, pretending her arms were scales. "One's really good, the other's not so good, it's kind of this balancing act." So clearly they switch being the alpha and beta Olsen whenever the other is feeling weak... think of it as one soul - two bodies

  • they have become mysterious beings, often not seen out in the world except for when they're accompanying their sister on the red carpet at times, or for a visit to Starbucks (which is honestly one of the most modernly mystical things an urban witchy woman can do in this age)

  • MK actually played a witch in Beastly the 2012 movie...

  • the Twiches now stitch their craft into 'The Row' their own luxury minimalistic witchy fashion label. In March 2018, it was rumoured that they would be releasing a line of wiccan supplies and accessories targeted for the beginner witch, which would include; minimalistic cauldrons, crystals, athames, candles, and some haunted vintage nic nacs

  • on a 'coincidental' note, a Stitch witchery is a double-sided fusible adhesive that is used to bond two pieces of fabric together...

  • at 2018 'The Row' Fall show, each person was given a palm-sized crystal, either in black or white. Clear quartz crystals were meant to be used for “universal harmony,” or balancing and revitalizing the “physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes.” Meanwhile, black tourmaline crystals were specifically for “protection.” “This crystal is a protective stone which repels and blocks negative energies,” read an accompanying notecard. “It also works in reducing fear and increasing focus.” There were instructions for both, how to clean your crystal and its meaning >>>

My sixths senses go berserk every time I see them or hear about them - They aren't just your average run-of-the-mill type of witch. These sisters have really got the power! With their third Olsen sister Liz with them, they could really have it all #thepowerofthree #triquetra #charmedirl

Other celebrity Witches/Pagans/Wiccans/witchcraft practitioners include;

Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, FKA Twigs, Björk, Cybill Sheppard, Patrick Swayze, David Bowie, Gerard Way, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Princess Nokia, Gabrielle Anwar, Heather Graham, Kesha, Adele, Fairuza Balk, Naomi Campbell, Evan Rachel Wood, Avril Lavigne, Alyson Hannigan, Viggo Mortensen, George Takei, Yoko Ono, Fred Durst, Alice Walker, Kate Winslet, Elizabeth Olsen, Taylor Swift, Marilyn Monroe, Florence Welch

and perhaps a "dis" honourable mention...

Azealia Banks - The Big Bad Bruja

> She claimed to be a “witch” in an interview with Broadly in March 2016 — saying her interest in the subject came from her mother. "My mother practiced white table magic,” however she surely does not > Been practicing for 3 years > Refers to Lana as "Witch-Sister" > confessed to sacrificing countless chickens over the past three years > made videos of rituals in what appears to be a blood-stained cleaning closet > "You know The Big Bad Witch is smarter than that,” > also threatened to burn down Lana's house with Voodoo > an actual crazy cat lady; she admitted to boiling her dead cat's remains after digging him up from his grave, in an attempt to bring him back to life (performing necromancy is taboo, a BIG NO for witches across the board unless of course, you are deep in the dark arts... I for one don't even joke about ouija boards) > shared her favorite spell — the egg spell. “You cleanse yourself with an egg. Pass the egg all over yourself, praying for all your negativity to go away into the egg. But usually you do it when someone is f—ing with you to get what the person is doing off of you. You crack it in a crossroad and you walk away and you don’t look back. That s— works.” (I may not agree with her practice and her witch path, or really any of her values, but this is actually a great spell when you remove all the vulgarity) > PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange said in a statement exclusive to PEOPLE. “We also hope that Banks’ closet clean-up is a sign that she is planning to clean up her act, become a good witch, and stop the cruel and gruesome sacrifice of frightened animals.” Banks said this in response “Real witches do real things,” I suppose this is how she rationalizes these actions... I mean yes sure, but a lot of us most definitely do not do that - there's no need to practice like we don't know better, surely we have evolved from this, we no longer live in the dark ages, if you need some liver or chicken hearts, you can seriously just go to some type of T&T (Chinese/Asian Supermarket). Some left-hand path witches (Dark witches) do still sacrifice for sure, but I don't know if their so 'evil' to be bragging about it and taking videos of it on the internet... yikes! > Lucifer was her cats name (Lucifer is a rather witchy/magickal name for a cat) I'm not pointing it out to be like "that's evil" or "devil worshiper", I myself love the name and mainly because the great Netflix show by the same name, based on a story created by one of my favourite fantasy authors' Niel Gaiman. Lucifer meaning: Light Bringer and Morningstar

> She's technically a Bruja, and practices Brujeria, a form of witchcraft most popular among Latin Americans and some African Americans

> However, most of us Witches, especially us White Witches have disavowed Banks due to the above and due to her past and present racist and homophobic proclivities, which include slander, death threats, and not only being pro-Trump but defending his own misogynistic, racist and homophobic actions.

She is really giving Witchery a bad name...Please don't judge all of us because of this one bad witch's behavior.
